Jewelry was my first way of understanding the world — through touch, closeness, and the body. I studied Metal Art and Jewelry at the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, and later completed a Master’s degree in Painting. Over time, my work expanded beyond jewelry into objects, sculpture, paintings and installation. But even as the scale changes, the relationship with the body remains important.
I create pieces that can be worn, but also experienced in space. For me, there is no strict boundary between jewelry and object — they are part of the same language. My work often begins with materials that have already lived a life — discarded, forgotten, overlooked. Mostly I combine recycled paper with precious metals and stones, bringing different kinds of value into one piece.
A recurring element in my work is the hole. I didn’t choose it consciously at first — it appeared on its own. Over time, hole became a way of thinking. A space that connects, holds, and opens. Something that allows the work to breathe. Each piece is made by hand, slowly and intuitive and almost all of my jewelry pieces are wearable.
